who knows what day this is?

sorry, got lost track of my training days..been busy with programs, building up mental and spirit. got to go equal on all aspect of 'strong phisically, mentally and spiritually'

came out in the local newspaper, a little interview on how's the local parkour scene going on. read more on my family's blog..too lazy to capy and paste.

The Star;liberation in motion

sneak peak...

By IAN YEE

Our youths are scaling new heights with parkour, the discipline of overcoming obstacles using the mind and human body.

IMAGINE living in a bustling, congested city with tall buildings and constricting concrete everywhere you turn.

Then imagine rising above all that; having the ability to scale any sort of urban landscape, to overcome any obstacle the city throws at you, and to feel the liberation of breaking free from the claustrophobic spaces everyone else is restricted to.

It’s a liberation almost all of us crave. Hence our fascination with superheroes like Spider-Man; and the phenomenal spread of parkour.

A traceur is someone who practises parkour, a relatively new discipline that uses the human body to get from point A to point B in the most efficient manner possible.

Traceurs are able to move effortlessly from rooftop to rooftop, make death-defying jumps with perfect landings, scale seemingly impossible gaps and obstacles like walls, fences, and boulders – all with the raw athletic abilities of the human body.

They turn urban environments into huge obstacle courses for themselves to challenge the limits of their bodies, and the only catch is that the course has no safety measures.

In parkour, sheer concrete walls, multi-storeyed buildings, huge gaps and terrifying drops are just part of the racecourse.

For traceurs to overcome these obstacles, they have to become the ultimate human physical specimens – gymnasts, cross-country runners, rock-climbers, long-jumpers, and stuntmen, all in one.

Still, local traceurs Amir Hamzah, Mohd Qayyim Hafidzi and Muhammad Sabree, are willing to dedicate their time and energy to train for parkour. The trio have been practising parkour for between three and four years now, making them veterans in the local scene. Amir and Qayyim’s usual training ground is at a small park next to the Putra Mosque in Putrajaya. Sabree, who has his own parkour group in his hometown in Kuching, Sarawak, recently joined them.

Day 18 (mines wonderland)

hmm..my results problem was setteled this morning.got up from bed feeling so down at first. but when i knew that i wrote the wrong ID number on my final paper, the heart was bursting blood up my body..made me feel like i wanna do some movement trainings~

so got out to mines wonderland..the carpark area is damn good. i also brought along the camera to do some filming. but unfortunately, most of the best areas where unfilmed as the camera blacked out. dont know why. its not even 4 years yet.

overall, was quite satisfied with the level i'am today. but not satisfied as a whole. still need to build up more strength and courage.

enjoy

Day Se7enteen

wow.was gasping for air like a dog when i tried some runs today at TTC. my stamina really needs more building up..i noticed this since i slowed down on ergometers and rowing trainings, such as joggings, 2.4km runs..dont know, seem like early this semester, since given the role of vice president of rowing club, made me not focus much on trainings...(lame excuse)

just checked my results..failed malaysian studies? wow! cant be..must be some mistake..huh, depressed.no mood left to write

Day 9 & Hell Day 2

posting from Tawau, Sabah..

Hell Day 2 went better than last week. did many things up to a standard of (last week - yesterday)..40-50, 100-200, 150-300..

for walking squats, i managed to double the distance..and i feel alot better after training than last week where i ended up suffering from aching calves and tights. but depressingly, i pnly managed to do 1 set, the second set which was planned to be done in the afternoon had to be replaced with helping my mum. and at night, we had a family dinner.

today, in Tawau, just managed some simple workout. hope i can get out training while my dad does his dialysis tomorrow in Lahat Datu Hospital which is a 2 hours drive from here.

'Sick'th Day

wasnt sick today..but just didnt train.i had to company some little bros to a futsal tournament which started early in the morning and ended almost 4pm.got home by 7pm.so was quite tired already to get some gears on plus it was raining outside..which is sooo much suitable for some sleep.

so the only thing i did today was drink some protein.lousy.

and tomorrow, wont be planning much as i've got to follow my bosses (mum and dad) to visit my 2nd brother at his hostel.hopefully my spirit is back by tomorrow, if i dont have any free time after the visit, i'll push myself for the night.

sleep.

weekly session was back alive.we held it at Putrajaya with some lense on our moves. many of the guys turn out, but didnt do much training..like they only wanted to see how the session was going to be handled.

me, sabree (goujitu) and amir were interviewed.here i'd like to thank Ian Yee for spending his time with us, hope he got everything he needed to make a story out of us.

after Ian left, we hit the walls, ramps and the 'toilet'.amar, amir and sabree did some tricking at the end. had much fun to be training again with others. here's some glips of what my brother took during our session.

Day 4

had the morning training by the lake in Putrajaya.just to see the guys from rowing club train their asses off..

did a little jogging and alot of balancing..then tried out some movements maily on vaults.

in the afternoon had a little get together with the guys at TTC on our weekly session.had some improvements in my rolls..wall climb ups still not fluid enough.

i've been thinking, if i'm taking protien, then i'll be gaining some weight..but will my muscles bare the new developed weight?coz i'm currently experiencing difficulties with my planches.or i'm just not strong like i used to be?hohoho

other guys havent been training..which is quite depressing.but again, who cares..their life, they choose ^_^

Day Three

had to drive my mum down south the whole day..

had my simple work out at a resting area while she took breakfast as we got out as early as 6am..just after subuh

there i found a monkey bar and did some planche and various pull ups..

continued the journey, left her at the TNB office where she was scheduled to deliver a talk on safety at working sites. i stayed at my uncles restorant and had extra free breakfast.

did some dips at his home during the evening.got a phone call from The Star newspaper asking for an interview session on parkour this saturday..said ok.

got home by 10pm. took out my protien drink and carried on whats left of my training for the day.
mainly on push ups and squats

now i'm gonna practice in my dreams..tomorrow will be wondering off to Putrajaya perhaps

2nd Day (Outside)

woke up this morning with sore calves..but nevertheless, put all the aching aside for these 3 months.

read up phily dee's blog relating on diet. so wanna take breakfast seriously from now on.no more late breakfast which ends up with "bruch"-breakfast+lunch..

after eating, went outside to TTC and strolled there for almost 2 hours.things i did was:
1. climb ups at wall corner
2. dips
3. rolls - still much to be perfected.looking forward to charlies (pk australia) visit this 22nd april and get sumthing out form him.
4. balancing - tried sumthing new this morning with balancing while walking sideways
                      - cat balance backwards
                      - balanced myself on sum wierd exercise thing..i'll take a picture of it next time

and the shoes were ok sooo far~ (Homer Simpson)..heps with climbups, and one thing i experienced was that i could feel the condition of the ground.the shoes went really well on rails ^_^

3 months of brutal consistent training

salam and peace,

i've finally finished my 2nd year studies..so i'm looking forward to my "3 months of no achademic books"..

i've planned to shcedule my 3 months (April-June) with some extra consistent training, which will officially start next week (monday, as i wake up). amongst things palnned:

1. first days of the week (monday) will be to check my limits..this includes all the muscle strains exercises which at the end of the day, i'll post here. this will be my target on each monday which the next monday will be better than the last ones.

2. 3 days of strength training (tuesday, wednesday and thursday)..free evenings will be for joggings and stamina building.

3. friday morning will be light..then spend the afternoon at TTC park (taman tasik chempaka) for the weekly training sessions with the Bangi guys..

4. saturdays and sundays will be for family and jam sessions.

so, hopefully this will be my schedule..insyaAllah (on behalf of God's will)

this saturday, i've got to get myself some protein, pull-up rods and new pair of running shoes..wuhuuu

oh yes..May..singapore visit~
